Interested candidates can take the exams either on-site in Lüdenscheid or online. Detailed information is available at https://ele.dial.de
What is a European Lighting Expert?
The European Lighting Expert (ELE) is a standardized qualification for lighting and illumination recognized across Europe. It was established by national lighting societies (LiTG, LTG, NSVV, and SLG). Upon passing the examination, lighting professionals at DIAL receive the title "European Lighting Expert – Interior Lighting", which certifies their lighting expertise and planning skills on a European level.
This qualification opens new opportunities for exciting lighting projects within the European lighting industry and fosters international exchange and collaboration. As part of a continually growing network, certified European Lighting Experts benefit from their certification and gain a competitive advantage over other lighting professionals.
Who can get certified at DIAL?
To become certified at DIAL, candidates need a basic understanding of lighting technology and practical experience in lighting design. That means anyone who already has solid knowledge—or those willing to acquire it through further training—can get certified. DIAL offers suitable seminars, which are directly linked on the DIAL website for the European Lighting Expert – Interior Lighting program (https://ele.dial.de).
After successfully passing the exam, professionals receive a certificate and are entered into the ELE register of the European Lighting Expert Association (ELEA), where they can be found by interested companies, clients, and project partners.
